As Head of Marketing, you will lead and develop the Marketing function with a clear focus on enabling business impact and commercial growth. The role is centered around strengthening how market and customer insight is translated into deliverables that support the sales teams successfully reach SSC Space commercial goals.
You will take ownership of key areas including customer and market intelligence, corporate events, and Esrange visitor experience, ensuring that these are successfully executed with clear purpose and measurable outcomes.
Working in close partnership with Business areas including Sales and Business Development, as well as Group Functions, you will play a central role in connecting market insight with commercial execution across the organization. You will lead a geographically distributed team and collaborate across functions to ensure alignment and impact.
You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and be part of the Commercial Function that besides Marketing spans the areas of Commercial Excellence, Strategy, Public & Governmental Affairs, Defense Affairs and Sustainability.
Requirements
We are looking for a senior marketing leader who is comfortable operating close to the business and contributing directly to commercial outcomes. You have solid experience from complex, tech-driven B2B environments and understand how customer and marketing intelligence, event management and visitor experience supports growth.
You bring a strong foundation in customer and market analysis and know how to turn insight into deliverables and actions that make a difference in enabling sales and strategic direction. You are used to navigating across functions, influencing stakeholders, and creating alignment in environments where priorities compete, focusing on results through others.
To succeed in this role, we believe you bring experience from:

Extensive experience working closely with Sales teams for +10 years to support commercial impact and successful customer engagement.

Leading marketing efforts in environments where business impact and measurable outcomes are expected.

Driving customer intelligence and market insight and translating it into concrete business deliverables towards sales teams.

Planning and executing events and stakeholder-driven activities with clear purpose and results.

Comfortable leading diverse and distributed teams in a cross-functional and international setup, with the ability to both set direction and execute. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team.
You are comfortable switching between operational and strategic work, and you take ownership of making things happen. You are a strong team player focusing on results and contributions rather than ownership. You have a collaborative mindset, positive approach, high integrity, and a natural drive to deliver value. An interest in new technology and how tools such as AI can strengthen marketing effectiveness is expected.
You hold a university degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or bring equivalent experience. As this is a dynamic role that may change, you are flexible and adapt well to changing environments and responsibilities. More importantly, you have demonstrated the ability to translate marketing into measurable business results.
Responsibilities
As Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for shaping and executing a marketing function that is tightly connected to the commercial agenda of SSC Space. The role combines hands-on execution with setting the strategic marketing direction, with a clear focus on enabling sales, strengthening customer understanding, and ensuring that marketing activities lead to measurable business outcomes.
A central part of the role is to further develop and embed customer and market intelligence capabilities, ensuring that market insights, customer data, and trends are translated into actions that support both sales teams and leadership decision-making and execution. You will work closely with Sales and Business Development to ensure that these insights are actively used in customer dialogues and opportunity development.
You will coordinate the company’s presence in key external arenas, including global industry events and activities at Esrange Space Center, ensuring that these initiatives are well-targeted, professionally executed, and contribute to business results. Closely connected to this is the responsibility for continuously developing the visitor experience at Esrange Space Center as a business-centric tool for relationship building and commercial impact.
You will play an important role in further strengthening alignment across divisions and functions, ensuring that marketing efforts are focused where they create the greatest business value. This includes evolving ways of working, strengthening collaboration across functions, and introducing new tools and technologies, including AI, where relevant.
Alongside this, you will lead and develop the marketing team, setting clear direction while also frequently stepping in operationally to ensure delivery.

Location
This is a full-time, permanent position based at our office in either Solna or Kiruna.
The job requires frequent travelling to Esrange and other parts of the world.
