The Software unit within SSC Space Connect is entrusted to develop and maintain critical systems required to connect our customers with their satellites. Our core business is to deliver satellite data to our customers, and the Data Engineering team owns critical components in this process. Their software ensures fast and reliable data delivery, as well as providing great observability for our customers and Network Management Center.
Requirements

You have a European citizenship and can travel within and outside Sweden if needed. As this position is critical to the operations of the SSC Space Services, it may include work outside of standard working hours, and/or being part of an on-call team with up to 1 week on-call per month.
To succeed in this role, you should have:

M.S. Computer Science or Computer/Software Engineering, or similar experience
-
3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience
-
Proficiency in Python and SQL
-
Hands-on experience with setting up and operating cloud services
-
Excellent communication skills in English.
We also value if you have experience with:

Automation and/or workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, Dagster and/or Prefect

Data processing frameworks like Apache Spark/Flink/Beam or similar
-
Dashboards and other data visualization technology, e.g. Grafana
-
Data integration and ETL from/to interfaces like REST-APIs, databases and object storage/data lakes
-
IoT systems integration and real-time data capture using protocols like MQTT, MODBUS etc.

System administration in Linux
-
Containerization, e.g. Docker.

LOCATION
This is a full-time, permanent position based at our office in either Solna or Kiruna.
