The current position as Project Coordinator is within the ReAct unit. The unit collaborates closely with other parts of the university, with the ReAct network's other regional offices, through exchanges with various institutions and with civil society both in Sweden and globally. Job Description:
This project coordinator is a key position for ReAct’s collaboration with Ukraine, which will be part of the “Program for support to Ukraine in the sectors of health, healthcare and social policy 2025–2027” , where ReAct’s work will be carried out in close collaboration with the Public health agency and other actors in Sweden and Ukraine.
The project coordinator will develop and implement activities to support strategic goals in the Ukrainian National action plan with focus on goals infection prevention and control (IPC) systems, awareness raising among the population and medical professionals on antibiotic resistance and strengthening human resources and education in this field.
Support will be provided through online platforms, webinars, information material, trainings, meetings, country visits and other exchanges. One important part of this work is to establish collaboration within Uppsala University and with other actors and institutions both in Sweden and in Ukraine. The initiative was launched in 2025 and will be further developed throughout 2026-2027. The position could include foreign travels to Ukraine and other places.
This may include tasks such as:

Coordinate and implement activities included in ReAct’s project “Support to AMR mitigation in Ukraine”

Develop/adapt/organise translation of existing training modules on IPC targeting different health care workers and students in programs to become health care professionals

Facilitate, develop and provide lectures and training modules for health care workers and other relevant groups in the areas of antibiotic resistance and IPC
-
Develop/adapt/organise translation of existing material for broader awareness raising activities on antibtiotic resistance

Establish collaboration within Uppsala University and with other actors and institutions both in Sweden and Ukraine

Take part of coordination meetings, both internally in ReAct network and with other actors in this initiative

Contribute to the work on results-based monitoring and evaluation of ReAct's global activities; as well as participation in review meetings and reporting

Contribute to ReAct’s public communication with a focus on antibiotic resistance in humanitarian crises in general and in Ukraine specifically

Contribute to ReActs resource mobilisations, through drafting of concept notes, application and engage with donors

Other administrative tasks or other contributions to ReActs work based on the needs of ReAct

Job duties may be adapted depending on the candidate's background and areas of expertise
Required Qualifications:
- Academic degree in medicine, nursing or public health
- Previous experience in project coordination
- Previous experience working with implementation of national action plans preferable on health care structure level or in projects with focus on infection prevention and control, awareness raising and/or education
- Strong pedagogical skills
- Previous experience in developing online and in person trainings, providing lectures
- Excellent Ukrainan and English language skills (both spoken and written)
- Previous experience from work in Ukraine or collaboration with health care sector support to Ukraine
- Central personal abilities are: good strategic skills, collaboration skills, organizational and coordination skills, commitment to the mission of ReAct, flexibility, ability and willingness to work independently and in teams with varying tasks in an international environment
It is an advantage of you have:
- Experience from work with implementation of AMR National action plans and specifically with activities on infection prevention and control
- Experience from teaching at medical or nursing undergraduate programs
- Previous international experience (humanitarian assistance, development cooperation, exchanges etc)
- Previous experience in communication and fundraising
- Knowledge of other languages, particularly Swedish
About the Position:
The position is fixed-term from September 1 to December 31 2026. The scope is full time.
