We are currently looking for a Scientist with expertise within GC, GC-MS and LC-MS (high resolving). As Scientist, you will be part of the section for Extractables & Leachables section within the R&D Start to Finish department at Cytiva in Uppsala, Sweden. The main mission of the Extractables & Leachables section is to execute extractables studies, including planning, extracting, analyzing, evaluating and writing reports. We work with analytical techniques such as LC-QToF, GC-MS, TOC etc., in a GMP-like environment. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Extractables & Leachables and is an onsite role.
This position will also be involved in supporting of our quality control and production units, to support them with problem solving as well as method development for the analysis of substances related to the production of chromatographic resins, using GC and GC-MS.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Work closely in a team to perform extractables studies on mainly single-use bioprocess equipment.
Run screening methods of organic molecules using mainly GC-MS and LC-QToF.
Perform data evaluation including spectra interpretation and identification of “unknowns”.
Perform analysis and method development for GC and GC-MS.
Perform assignment analyses from the production and quality control departments.
The essential requirements of the job include:
PhD or MSc with considerable experience within Analytical Chemistry or equivalent with focus on mass spectroscopy (GC-MS, LC-QToF).
Previous experience of working with Extractables & Leachables topic is recommended.
Quality oriented with an analytical attitude and a flexible, accurate and structured way of working.
Experienced of working within a quality framework, performing method validations etc.
English as a working language, Swedish is a plus.
