Role Overview
As an Account Director, you will be responsible for retaining and growing revenue across an assigned portfolio of existing customers. Owning the full commercial relationship, you will lead renewals, upsell and cross-sell opportunities while acting as the primary growth driver within your accounts. Working in close partnership with Customer Success Managers, you will ensure customers achieve value from the platform while identifying strategic opportunities to expand their use of Benifex solutions. You will build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, develop long-term account strategies and deliver predictable revenue growth. Please note that this is an individual contributor role with no direct people management responsibilities. Success in this position comes through commercial leadership, strategic customer engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end commercial sales cycle for renewals and expansions, including discovery, business case development, solution design, pricing, proposal creation, ROI cases, negotiations and contract closure.
Manage commercial activities including pricing, contract scope, commercial terms, invoicing accuracy and pipeline forecasting to support revenue growth and predictable performance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior HR leaders, executive sponsors, finance teams and procurement stakeholders. Lead Executive Business Reviews to demonstrate value delivered and identify future growth opportunities.
Develop and execute strategic account growth plans, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities by understanding customer HR strategies, business objectives and workforce challenges.
Lead account planning sessions and internal commercial reviews, aligning stakeholders around opportunities, risks and priorities while ensuring effective collaboration across teams.
Use a consultative sales approach, including the MEDDIC methodology, to drive commercial success and position Benifex as a strategic long-term partner.
Share customer and market insights internally, support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure effective commercial handovers for new customers entering the portfolio.
What are we looking for?
Proven experience in B2B sales, account management or business development with a strong track record of retaining customers and driving revenue growth.
Demonstrated success delivering renewals, upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing customer portfolios.
Ability to manage complex buying journeys involving multiple stakeholders, long sales cycles and high-value contracts.
Strong commercial acumen with experience in forecasting, pipeline management, pricing and contract negotiations.
Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
Fluency in both Swedish and English, with the ability to clearly communicate business value and ROI to senior audiences.
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership and accountability for customer and commercial outcomes.
Strategic and solution-focused thinking, with the ability to connect customer challenges to business outcomes.
Bonus points for:
Experience within HR technology or Compensation & Benefits.
Experience within SaaS or other subscription-based business models.
Experience working with enterprise customers and managing large, long-term commercial relationships.
