SaltX is on a mission to erase industries’ dependency on fossil fuels, starting with the quicklime and cement industries that stand for more than 8% of the world’s CO2 emissions. We innovate and industrialize electrification technologies aiming to make a shift in the gigaton scale to reach net-zero industrial emissions.
We create value by being a strategic partner to heavy-emission industries that are committed to decarbonize their operations. The industrial dependency on fossil-fuels in high-temperature heating industries can finally become history thanks to our patented innovation- the Electric Arc Calciner (eAC). Our electric plasma technology replaces fossil-driven heating with renewable electricity and captures the CO2 emissions released during the heating process.
We are now looking for a senior and experienced Project Lead who wants to join our dedicated team to drive sustainable change by leading our commercial projects into the next phase.
As a Senior Project Lead, you will be responsible for driving delivery of engineering and procurement packages from late-stage engineering through manufacturing, delivery, and commissioning support. While our projects span from initial studies to full-scale implementation, your primary focus and expertise will lie in the execution phase - ensuring engineering designs are translated into robust, manufacturable, and operable systems integrated into customer-owned plant projects.
You will play a crucial role in managing everything that happens on-site, coordinating with customers, strategic partners and internal teams to ensure our groundbreaking decarbonization solutions are delivered successfully. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role at the forefront of the green industrial transition and large-scale deployment of innovative clean-energy solutions.
SaltX delivers engineering and procurement scopes, including technology integration and key equipment packages. Construction, installation, and site execution are typically led by the customer or appointed EPC contractors. The Project Lead ensures seamless interface management and technical support across these boundaries.
As a Senior Project Lead, you'll manage the complex execution phase of first-of-a-kind projects designed to decarbonize hard-to-abate industries. You'll coordinate cross-disciplinary teams of internal and external experts to ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Tasks include:
Owning delivery of engineering & procurement packages: Manage scope from FEED through detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, and delivery.
Drive project delivery: Ensure designs are complete, coordinated, and aligned with customer and EPC requirements.
Coordinate stakeholders: Act as the main point of contact between customers, partners, internal and external engineering teams during construction and commissioning.
Foster strong team collaboration: Create a productive and energetic environment that encourages innovation and problem-solving within a lean and agile project team.
Act as a trusted advisor to customers: Build strong, lasting relationships and ensure a smooth handover, communicating complex information in a clear and solution-oriented manner.
Engage cross-functionally: Work closely with our engineering, commercial, and R&D teams to ensure alignment and contribute to the overall success of each project.
To thrive at SaltX, we believe that it is important that our values correlate with yours.
We also believe that you have the following qualifications:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Significant senior-level experience in project management, specifically from the process industry.
Demonstrated, hands-on experience leading the execution phase of large-scale industrial projects.
Experience from sectors such as lime, cement, pulp & paper, or other heavy process industries is highly valued. Experience from the supplier/EPC side is particularly meritorious.
Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, capable of effectively guiding diverse stakeholders through complex project phases.
Fluency in English is required. Professional proficiency in Swedish is highly advantageous and strongly preferred.
A positive, energetic, and "can-do" attitude with an entrepreneurial spirit. You see solutions, not problems.
You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic scale-up environment and are comfortable with taking on broad responsibilities in a lean organization.
You are a natural collaborator who works well in a multi-cultural team environment but can also drive your work forward independently.
A strong commitment to sustainability and a desire to make a real-world impact.
Every day we challenge ourselves and others to erase industries' dependence on fossil fuels. We do this by being innovative, caring and collaborative.

At SaltX, we are doing things that haven't been done before and believe that fostering a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative team is crucial in advancing our mission to decarbonize the quicklime and cement industries.
