Would you like to take on a key role in a high-tech company where accounting, financial reporting and continuous development go hand in hand? As Accounting Manager at Silex, you will play an important role within Silex’s Finance function, with significant responsibility for both statutory accounting and Group accounting in accordance with IFRS. In this role, you will report to the Group Financial Manager.
We are looking for someone who enjoys combining operational responsibility with strategic accounting matters and who wants to contribute to the continued development of the Finance function in a company that is constantly evolving.
In this role, you will:
Be responsible for entity accounting, month-end and year-end closing, and ongoing accounting matters.
Prepare group consolidations and contribute to financial reporting to management, the Board of Directors and external stakeholders.
Handle tax calculations, tax returns, VAT and tax-related matters.
Act as the main point of contact for external auditors and support the organization with accounting assessments.
Work with IFRS-related accounting matters, including lease accounting and hedge accounting.
Be the system owner for the Group consolidation system AARO and drive improvements and efficiencies in financial processes.
Lead and coordinate finance-related projects and contribute to internal control and corporate compliance.
The Finance Team
You will be part of Silex’s Finance function and work closely with the Group Financial Manager, CFO and other colleagues within Finance. The team plays a central role in the business and collaborates daily with functions such as Supply Chain, HR and Payroll, while supporting managers and senior leadership on financial and accounting matters.
The role also involves regular contact with external auditors and banks and provides significant opportunities to influence and develop ways of working and processes.
We are looking for someone who:
Has at least a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
Has a background in audit or accounting, with experience in qualified accounting work within a complex, preferably manufacturing, environment.
Has experience in group accounting, financial closing and financial reporting.
Has worked with or been exposed to IFRS and feels confident handling complex accounting matters.
Experience from a listed company or another environment with high demands on financial reporting and corporate governance is considered an advantage.
Has solid knowledge of tax and VAT.
Is an experienced systems user with very strong Excel skills. Experience with AARO or a similar consolidation system is considered an advantage.
Is fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
Is structured and analytical, enjoys taking ownership and responsibility, and has strong collaboration skills.
