We are part of the AD/ADAS function department where you will be an essential part delivering the AD/ADAS functions, “We make your trip safe and protect what is important to you by designing best in class AD/ADAS functionality.”
We are around 200 curious and engaged engineers eager to deliver the best AD/ADAS functions. Our cross functional collaboration spans over many engineering disciplines from software and electronics to mechanical engineering. Our teams are dedicated to further evolve our safety heritage and develop solutions for our ultimate safety test to handle our climate changes.
This position as a Department Program Manager for our ART includes responsibility for bringing out the best of the AD/ADAS Product, that is the combination of the AD/ADAS functions, and be main interface to stakeholders with regards to delivery status. You will be leader within our department and work closely with the both Product Manager, Architects and Department Program Managers and have active contribution to success of our AD/ADAS function cross engineering.
You will be a leader and heavily impact our departments contribute to the Volvo Cars Superset tech stack and actively work with ensure product centric mindset.

As a department program manager for the ART AD/ADAS Function you will work actively with our product deliveries towards the Volvo Cars Superset tech stack. You will work both proactively with initiative to improve our delivery flow and work operational with execution to secure deliveries of the product.
You will bring and keep clarity between multiply AD/ADAS functions, projects and program to strive for a product centric focus. You are expected to take initiative, drive and lead various off-lifecycle development initiative beneficial for our AD/ADAS Product. You will work with full competence to plan, organize, prioritize and oversee activities to efficiently meet objectives around the Volvo Cars Super tech stack master flow. You will monitor the flow closely and with status reports connected to Product steps, and work with Product Managers/Product Owners to promote activites and workpackages to increase the quality of the AD/ADAS Product. Typically works without supervision and may provide technical guidance.
You will join a group with Architects, Department Program Managers, Senior Technical Leaders and Experts and will together with the team of Department Program Managers be responsible for the delivery of all projects. You ensure that all decisions made in the project are guided by Architecture Principles. These principles should serve as the foundation for your technical choices.
Moreover, you build trust, maintain transparency, and provide status of the AD/ADAS functions in multiply phases. You will provide updates about status reports and key milestones achieved.
To be successful in this job we see that you have around 5 years of relevant work experience as a leader within flow mastery or similar for embedded functions. You have wide automotive experience and have great experience of AD/ADAS. You should have a strong interest in project management, leadership, developing people and agile way of working. You have a proven collaboration skill and experience. We also see that you have a technical background with hands on experience and an academic background and education on MSc level or equivalent within . You need to be fluent in English (spoken and written) and driving license.
