Job description

Position Title: Design Strategist

Duration: Contract

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden

Description of the assignment

You will join our Clients 'Design team to support and further develop the brand.
This work includes: Refining, conceptualizing and elevating the brand toward a more premium, confident expression.
Creating clear, scalable strategies across brand, product, and experience.
You will work closely with design leadership and contribute hands-on to both strategic concept development and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Lead strategic design explorations to define product visions, value propositions and user experiences.
Translate research, insights, and data into clear, actionable design directions.
Create visual narratives and prototypes from storyboards and presentations to concept sketches and experience mock-ups.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, marketing, engineering) to align design intent with strategic goals.
Identify unmet user and market needs and turn them into new opportunities for innovation.
Facilitate workshops and communicate ideas with clarity and emotional impact.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

5+ years of professional experience with design strategy (preferably in automotive, luxury, fashion, gaming, or tech industries)
Strong portfolio demonstrating a premium visual aesthetic and storytelling ability across multiple formats (CGI, film, stills, motion, interactive)
Proficiency in visualization tools such as Blender, VRED, Keyshot, or similar
Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional creative teams
Ability to clearly present ideas and lead visual concepts from ideation to execution
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal

Personal attributes

Strong drive, collaborative and organized as well as a good team player
Strong visual communicator and comfortable presenting results
Equally comfortable with ambiguity and execution, knowing when to explore or when to decide
Passionate to work on ambiguous and complex future challenges
Cultural awareness, especially Chinese and Northern European culture

Additional information

Travels to China may be needed (approx. 1-2 trips per year).
Everyone in our team has a high level of responsibility and mandate and is expected to be able to work autonomously
Fluent in English, spoken and written
Driver's license
