Do you have experience building scalable finance operations in a B2B SaaS environment? Are you energized by automation, clean data and translating financial complexity into business clarity? If yes – this is a great opportunity to join an ambitious and fast-growing SaaS company!
Who we are
We are a fast-growing SaaS scale-up (80+ people, 450+ customers across 38 countries) offering an end-to-end Component Content Management System (CCMS). We enable global enterprises to create, manage and deliver structured content where accuracy and governance are non-negotiable. Our ambition is to evolve from a documentation platform into the structured content infrastructure that enterprises need to make AI trustworthy.
The Mission
A company scaling this fast needs a financial engine that scales with it. As our Senior Finance Manager, you won't just "run the books." You will design, automate and execute the finance operations that power our growth – ensuring our financial engine is as data-driven and scalable as the product we build.
About the role
We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to be the architectural and operational backbone of Paligo's Finance function. While the CFO focuses on corporate strategy and financial planning, you own the operational execution – and act as a key partner to the CFO along the way.
Operating with high levels of autonomy, you will bridge the gap between financial data and business operations, leading a team of two (Junior Accountant and Payroll Specialist) and working closely with the CFO, Leadership Team and stakeholders across the business.
This role is for a hands-on finance leader who:
Builds for scale: You see every manual task as an automation opportunity. You prefer scalable workflows over workarounds, and you know how to get there.
Owns the numbers end to end: From daily accounting to annual audit, you take full accountability for accuracy, timeliness and quality.
Translates data into decisions: You turn financial data and SaaS metrics into clear, actionable insights for the CFO, Leadership Team and the wider business.
Combines seniority with prestigelessness: You have the strategic weight to design complex financial processes – and the drive to roll up your sleeves and execute routine tasks whenever needed.
Your primary focus areas:
Finance operations: Own daily accounting operations end to end – invoicing, AR, AP, cash collection and payroll oversight – while leading and developing the Finance team.
Business performance: Own SaaS metrics analysis (ARR/MRR, churn, NRR), monthly management reporting and the monthly Business Review meetings with internal stakeholders.
Automation and AI: Lead the evaluation and implementation of tools and AI-driven solutions that maximize automation and eliminate manual work across Finance.
Key responsibilities
Finance operations and team leadership
Take end-to-end accountability for daily accounting operations, including invoicing, AR, AP, cash collection and payroll oversight.
Lead and optimize the monthly and annual book-close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Manage, mentor and develop the Finance team, building operational resilience and cross-training to eliminate key-person dependencies.
Compliance, tax and audit
Drive the preparation of annual financial statements and act as the primary, independent lead contact for external auditors.
Own ongoing corporate tax, VAT compliance and regulatory requirements across relevant Paligo jurisdictions.
Business performance and reporting
Continuously follow up, validate and analyze critical SaaS metrics (ARR/MRR, churn, NRR) to ensure alignment between financial and operational data.
Own the preparation and analysis of the Monthly Business Review report, translating financial data into clear business insights.
Drive and take full responsibility for the monthly Business Review meetings with internal stakeholders.
Liquidity and cash management
Process excellence, automation and AI
Proactively drive transformation and continuous improvement within accounting and financial reporting, building scalable workflows that support growth.
Lead the evaluation and implementation of tools, software and AI-driven solutions to maximize automation and increase efficiency within Finance.
Strategic support and exposure
Act as a key sounding board and partner to the CFO, independently driving financial ad-hoc analyses, business cases and projects initiated by the CFO or Leadership Team.
Take end-to-end ownership of internal projects of strategic importance to the company's financial and operational scaling.
Prepare high-quality financial materials and presentations for the Board and Leadership Team, with executive and Board exposure on a project-by-project basis.
