Assignment Description
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer for an on-site assignment in Sweden. You will join a small, fast-moving venture team building and scaling a secure, data-driven digital platform that enables collaboration with external partners and supports the reuse of high-quality components across markets.
You will work closely with the Product Lead and Lead Developer on architecture, priorities, engineering standards, CI/CD, documentation, and representing the technical perspective in discussions on data flows and integrations.
Responsibilities:
- You will own and improve the platform’s data foundation, including data models, ingestion flows, integrations, and data quality across the platform.
- You will develop and maintain data models that support several parties, markets, and integrations, designing and operating ingestion flows for imports, validation, transformation, retries, and auditability, and establishing data pipelines, contracts, and quality controls for trusted business metrics.
- You will also work with integrations and external data sources such as business systems, data platforms, and file-based transfers, while improving data quality, traceability, and observability across platform domains.
- The role further includes contributing to AWS, databases, jobs, monitoring, and scaling.
Required Qualifications
- Professional communication skills in Swedish and English.
- Practical experience with APIs and cloud environments, preferably AWS.
- Academic degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong hands-on skills in:
- SQL
- Relational data modelling
- Data pipeline development
- Senior-level experience in data engineering, backend engineering, or platform engineering

- Experience with:
- Marketplace platforms or multi-stakeholder systems.
- Startup, venture, or fast-moving product environments.
- PostgreSQL
