Enklare is a fast-growing Swedish loan and insurance brokerage company on an exciting journey to make loan terms better for everyone. We are dedicated to helping our customers achieve their financial goals in a simple, safe, and personal way – and to succeed, we need the right talents to join us on this journey.
Now, we are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to join our core development team and help us build scalable, maintainable, and high-quality customer experiences on the web.
As a Senior Frontend Developer at Enklare, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining modern web applications that support our customers, partners, and internal users. This is a hands-on frontend role with a strong focus on scalable customer experiences, maintainable architecture, and high-quality engineering practices.
You will help drive how we structure, build, test, and evolve our frontend applications, primarily using Vue and TypeScript. You will work closely with the Frontend Lead, Head of Development, UX, QA, Product Owners, and other engineers to deliver customer value through well-structured frontend solutions.
The role suits someone who is already operating beyond feature delivery. You are comfortable taking ownership of larger frontend applications, driving technical improvements, shaping frontend architecture, and helping establish patterns and standards that other engineers can build on.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Frontend development: Build, maintain, and improve modern reactive single-page applications, primarily using Vue and TypeScript.
Scalable customer experiences: Develop web experiences that are performant, accessible, reliable, and maintainable as our products and customer base continue to grow.
Frontend architecture ownership: Take ownership of frontend architecture within your domain, including application structure, state management, routing, shared abstractions, build setup, testing strategy, performance, accessibility, and long-term maintainability.
Design systems and component libraries: Help structure, evolve, and maintain reusable UI components, design system foundations, and frontend patterns that enable consistent product development.
Technical direction and standards: Work closely with the Frontend Lead and Head of Development to define, document, and establish frontend standards, architectural principles, and reusable patterns across our frontend applications.
Larger frontend initiatives: Lead and contribute to frontend improvement initiatives such as repository restructuring, modernization, performance improvements, test coverage, technical debt reduction, design system adoption, or improved developer experience.
Quality and collaboration: Work closely with UX, QA, Product Owners, backend engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver well-tested features with a strong focus on customer value, business value, and long-term technical health.
Mentorship and technical guidance: Act as a technical reference point for other frontend developers, support code reviews, mentor colleagues, and help raise the overall frontend engineering level.
We are looking for a humble, self-motivated team player who takes ownership and enjoys building high-quality customer experiences. You are comfortable working in larger frontend applications and understand that good frontend engineering is not only about writing components, but also about structure, maintainability, performance, accessibility, and collaboration.
You are not only comfortable implementing complex frontend features; you are also able to reason about long-term structure, technical trade-offs, team practices, and how frontend decisions affect product quality, customer experience, delivery speed, and maintainability over time.
You can operate with high autonomy, take ownership of ambiguous frontend problems, and help others make better technical decisions through clear communication, pragmatic guidance, and strong engineering judgment.
You enjoy sharing knowledge, improving ways of working, and helping the team build frontend solutions that are easy to understand, extend, and operate over time. You are pragmatic, quality-minded, and able to balance delivery with technical sustainability.
Vue expertise: Strong experience building modern single-page applications using Vue.
TypeScript proficiency: Experience writing maintainable, typed frontend application code using TypeScript.
Frontend architecture: Solid understanding of how to structure larger frontend applications, repositories, modules, routing, state management, build tooling, and shared abstractions.
Design systems: Experience working with design systems, component libraries, reusable UI patterns, and frontend consistency at scale.
Maintainability: Proven ability to improve and maintain larger frontend codebases over time, including refactoring, technical debt management, and clear code ownership.
Quality and testing: Habit of writing testable frontend code and working with relevant testing approaches such as unit, component, integration, or end-to-end testing.
Modern web development: Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, browser APIs, accessibility, performance, responsive design, and frontend build tooling.
Collaboration workflow: Experience working with GitHub, pull requests, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and cross-functional product teams.
Experience with frontend performance optimization, accessibility standards, monorepos, design tokens, micro frontends, backend-for-frontend patterns, financial services, or helping modernize existing frontend applications is a strong plus.
As part of our very competent tech team, you’ll enjoy a varied day to day, a hybrid work setup with the flexibility to work remotely part of the week, freedom to choose your own equipment, regular social activities, and a modern office located in central Stockholm.
You will join a team where frontend quality matters, where your experience can influence how we build customer-facing products, and where we value clear communication, collaboration, and sustainable engineering practices.
Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis – don’t miss your chance to apply. We look forward to welcoming you to the journey!
