About the job
As Nordic Semiconductor continues its growth as a global leader in low-power wireless technology, we are looking for a Cybersecurity Compliance Lead to own a critical function. This is a rare opportunity to build and lead the team responsible for Nordic's end-to-end product security compliance — spanning PSIRT incident response and a demanding certification pipeline that includes PSA, SESIP, FIPS, and Common Criteria.
You will set direction, shape internal processes, and personally drive Nordic's readiness for the EU Cyber Resilience Act ahead of the December 2027 deadline, while representing Nordic to regulators and certification bodies on the international stage. With full ownership of priorities, capacity, and budget across the compliance function, and a mandate to hire and grow the team as scope expands, this role offers genuine leadership authority and visibility across R&D, Legal, Sales, and beyond.
If you want to make a lasting impact at a company where product security compliance is a business-critical priority — not an afterthought — this is the role for you.
Key responsibilities
Set direction and priorities for the Compliance function across PSIRT and Certification & Compliance, and drive the evolution of Nordic internal processes to align with cybersecurity regulation requirements
Own delivery of CRA Article 14 readiness (24h / 72h / 14d / 14m), CRA conformity assessment readiness (Dec 11, 2027), and the active certification pipeline (PSA, SESIP, FIPS, Common Criteria).
Allocate priorities, capacity, and budget between PSIRT and Certification & Compliance; arbitrate trade-offs.
Represent Nordic to relevant regulation bodies (e.g. CENELEC)
Hire, develop, and grow the Compliance function as scope and pipeline expand.
Engage with Legal, R&D, Quality, Operations, Sales, FAEs, and BU PMTs on regulatory and certification process integration.
Own lab certifiation relationship for various product certifications
Key Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, Masters is a plus
Several years in product security, regulatory affairs, or product certification leadership — with part of that leading a cross-functional team.
Direct experience with at least one of:
Working knowledge of CRA, RED DA, NIS2, PSA / SESIP / FIPS / Common Criteria. Comfort reading regulatory and scheme text.
The ability to navigate in a global matrix organization
Personal Skills
Success in this role is less about deep technical expertise and more about how you lead, decide, and deliver. You combine strategic judgment with the ability to cut through ambiguity and set clear priorities, even when the regulatory landscape is shifting beneath your feet. You are a skilled cross-functional collaborator who can influence without authority — earning credibility with R&D, Legal, Sales, and external bodies alike — and a disciplined owner who ensures nothing falls through the cracks when deadlines are hard and dependencies are many. If you are the kind of person who energizes teams, navigates organizational complexity with ease, and measures success by outcomes rather than activity, we want to hear from you.
Working for Nordic
Working at Nordic, you will be inspired and supported to develop yourself. Our teams enjoy a professional and informal working environment.
