The role
We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Test Engineer to execute end-to-end Validation & Verification (V&V) of Door Control Functions at vehicle, subsystem, and component levels.
The role focuses on ensuring customer function compliance, early issue detection, and supporting successful integration and release in line with automotive development milestones.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Testing & Validation
Perform vehicle-level testing (VIL) for: Door Lock/Unlock functions
Side Door Manoeuvring (open/close, anti-pinch, safety features)
Window operation (local & global open/close)
Controls Disable & Protected Interior Storage
Validate functions against customer requirements across all test levels (vehicle, subsystem, component)
Test Execution & Coverage
Develop, maintain, and execute test cases
Work with automation to understand the process, later stage you must maintain and update automation scripts
Ensure requirement traceability and test coverage across CF, PF, PC, SM levels
Support regression and integration testing for software releases
Fault Detection & Analysis
Identify, reproduce, and document issues observed during testing
Perform log analysis (CAN/LIN/Ethernet signals) and basic debugging
Raise ad track defects in VIRA/Jira
Collaborate with SW/HW teams for root cause analysis
Integration & Release Support
Support software flashing, vehicle integration, calibration, and release validation
Participate in build verification, integration testing, and gate activities
Ensure readiness for vehicle builds and software releases
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics / Electrical / Automotive Engineering
Swedish Valid driving license (mandatory for vehicle testing)
5–10 years of experience in:
Vehicle / System / ECU Testing
Door / Body / Closure domain testing (preferred)
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and door control functions
Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer)
Diagnostics protocols (UDS)
ECU flashing and signal/log analysis
Familiarity with HIL/VIL testing and test automation using vTestStudio
Understanding of OEM process and automotive V-model development
