Would you like to lead a highly skilled test engineering team at the forefront of innovation? And do you want to play a key role in developing new test methods that help bring new medical devices to market?
At Atos Medical, a Coloplast Group company, you will contribute to a business built on innovative solutions for people living with a neck stoma. Everything we do revolves around our end-users and how we empower them. This is our company-wide commitment. We are a global leader within our field, and we are uniquely positioned to turn insights into meaningful solutions. We actively engage with our end-users to understand their needs — and translate those insights into better outcomes.
Join Atos Medical and help shape how we test and verify tomorrow’s innovative solutions. In the role as Team Manager Test Engineering, you will lead a small team of test engineers while setting the direction for the test area, advancing new test methods, and defining strong test strategies that support our innovation projects.
About the role
Based at Atos Medical’s site in Hörby, Sweden, you will lead a team of test engineers and consultants and guide how testing supports innovation projects from early concept through verification. Together, you will define, develop, and implement new test methods and test setups that generate robust data, support sound design decisions, and build strong verification strategies for innovation projects. You will collaborate broadly across R&D, product management, quality, and other key stakeholders to strengthen our testing capabilities and ensure that test strategies are aligned with project and business needs.
Your main focus will be to lead the team in the development of new test methods for innovation projects, ensuring test approaches are scientifically sound, practical to implement, and aligned with project needs. You will guide your team in test strategy, method development and validation, design verification, and documentation. You will prioritise resources across projects, support stakeholders with technical input, and drive processes, standards, and QMS within test engineering.
In this role, you will
- support and develop your team
- create clarity around priorities and deliverables
- foster a collaborative environment where technical curiosity and continuous improvement thrive
At the same time, you will stay close to the technical work, contributing hands-on to selected testing, problem-solving, and evaluation together with the team.
The role combines team responsibility with strong technical contribution, and you will act as a senior sparring partner in innovation projects where thoughtful test design and hands-on execution are both essential. This is a great opportunity to combine technical expertise with team responsibility and contribute directly to innovation in medical device development.
As Team Manager Test Engineering you report to the Director, Product Development Laryngectomy, and will be based primarily on our site in Hörby, typically four days per week, with the option to work remotely one day per week.
About you
You bring strong technical insight into test engineering and method development, and you are motivated by the opportunity to create structure, direction, and engagement around a specialised team. We welcome candidates with strong informal leadership skills or senior technical experience who are ready to step into a people leadership role. Just as importantly, you enjoy staying close to the technical work and contributing actively to testing activities when needed. You thrive in an innovation-driven R&D environment where collaboration and scientific thinking are essential.
Moreover, we imagine that you
- hold a degree in engineering or another relevant technical discipline
- bring solid experience in test engineering, method development, statistics and laboratory-based work
- have leadership experience, preferably from managing technical specialists or engineers, or demonstrate clear potential and motivation to take on people leadership
- have experience from medical device development, regulated industries, or a similar product development environment
- have a structured approach to prioritisation, stakeholder management, and team development
- are fluent in English
What We Offer
You will join a collaborative and friendly workplace where your work makes a real impact. We offer employment conditions through a collective agreement, flexible working hours, and benefits that support your wellbeing and everyday life. These include an Epassi lunch benefit, a wellness allowance, and breakfast at the office several times a week.
How to apply
If you are motivated by leading people, developing new technical capabilities, and enabling innovation through strong test engineering, we would love to hear from you. Please note that we only accept CVs (no cover letter). Instead, feel free to include a short summary at the top of your CV highlighting your experience and motivation relevant to this position. We review applications on an ongoing basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. Response times may be a bit longer during the summer holiday period—thank you for your patience.
