JOB DESCRIPTION:
As XOALA continues to scale and expand its operations, we are currently looking to hire a dedicated and passionate Junior Regulatory Compliance Analyst to join our growing Swedish office!
The successful candidate will team up with the Regulatory Compliance Manager and support the team in ensuring the company operates in line with applicable financial regulations. This is an entry-level role suited for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an interest in the FinTech/Banking sector. In more detail, the Compliance Analyst will:

Monitor and analyze changes in financial regulations and provide compliance guidance to relevant departments.
- Assist with internal compliance reporting and documentation as required.
- Analyze potential transaction laundering cases and escalate findings to relevant internal teams.
- Stay up to date with regulatory developments, particularly those affecting Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs), and assess their impact on the company.
- Conduct legal and regulatory research and support the drafting, evaluation, and revision of internal policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance
- Respond to regulatory audits, reviews, and investigations (e.g. by the SFSA), addressing risks and ensuring company readiness and compliance.
- Provide regulatory compliance support to shared services functions across the company
- Participate in internal policy updates and help embed regulatory best practices throughout the business.
- Carry out any other related duties as assigned by the Compliance Manager or direct supervisor.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- 6 months-1 year previous similar experience in a compliance role, preferably within an EMI/ Payment Solutions/ FinTech firm
- Native/Business fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Law/ Finance/ Economics/ Business or any other related field
- Knowledge of AML regulations, EU directives, EBA guidance and financial crime compliance frameworks will be considered as an advantage
- Must be resident in Sweden
- Excellent attention to detail and investigative skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- A proactive and adaptable mindset to improve internal processes and support policy development
