ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Lead Enterprise Architect to drive enterprise-wide architecture direction and ensure coherence across our digital landscape.
This role sits at the center of our Digital Governance & Architecture organization and is responsible for shaping how strategy, technology, and execution come together across business capabilities and domains. You will enable better decision-making, reduce complexity, and ensure scalable and resilient solutions by driving strong architecture governance, clear direction, and cross-domain alignment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Set Enterprise Architecture Direction

Define EA direction, priorities, principles, standards, and ways of working for the Enterprise Architecture practice

Translate enterprise strategy and transformation priorities into actionable architecture guidance and decision material
Lead Architecture Governance & Decision-Making

Own and run the Architecture Review Board, including review processes, decision records, follow-ups and escalation

Act as principal architect for complex cross-domain decisions, balancing business value, cost, speed, risk, and technical considerations
Drive Cross-Domain Architecture Coherence

Ensure target architecture is consistently applied across business capabilities, processes, applications, data, integrations, platforms, and security

Lead complex architecture work spanning multiple domains and ensure alignment across the enterprise
Enable Early Architecture Engagement

Ensure architecture is embedded early in strategy, portfolio shaping, procurement, and major solution decisions

Reduce duplication, integration complexity, and late-stage rework through proactive involvement
Manage Risks, Technical Debt & Lifecycle

Ensure visibility and ownership of architecture risks, technical debt, and lifecycle considerations

Connect architecture decisions to portfolio and investment processes
Build and Scale the Architecture Capability

Coordinate enterprise architecture work and clarify ownership across architecture domains

Coach and guide enterprise architects and federated architecture roles

Establish community practices, reusable patterns, and collaboration forums across architecture disciplines

Clear and consistently applied enterprise architecture direction across the organization

Effective architecture governance enabling faster, higher-quality decisions

Reduced duplication, technical debt, and complexity across systems and platforms

Strong alignment between business strategy, technology choices, and delivery execution
High engagement and maturity across the enterprise architecture community

Domain Expertise
-
Strong understanding of complex, global, asset-intensive environments (e.g. shipping, logistics, supply chain or similar)

Ability to connect business capabilities, processes, and operating models with technology and architecture decisions
Architecture & Technology

Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture practices including governance, target architecture, and decision frameworks
-
Broad understanding across application, data, integration, cloud, platform, and security domains
-
Experience translating strategy into practical architecture guidance and reusable artefacts
Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Strong stakeholder management with ability to influence senior leaders across business and technology
-
Clear communication of trade-offs, risks, and architecture decisions
-
Experience leading decision forums, resolving conflicts, and driving alignment across distributed teams
Experience

10+ years in enterprise architecture, digital transformation, or senior architecture leadership roles
-
Experience leading architecture governance, cross-domain decision-making, and enterprise-wide initiatives
