We are looking for a collaborative backend engineer to help us build the real-time data pipelines and smart CRM integrations that deliver the right message to the right user at exactly the right time. You'll:
Build & Scale with Node.js: Design and evolve resilient backend services and APIs using Node.js, Nest.js, and GraphQL, keeping our platform fast and reliable.
Connect Our Systems: Lead the technical direction of our CRM and marketing automation integrations. You’ll ensure our data pipelines are secure, scalable, and built to last.
Bring Data to Life: Partner closely with our CRM and Marketing teams to turn user behavioral signals and segmentations into timely, meaningful automated messages.
Collaborate Across Disciplines: Act as a supportive technical partner for non-technical stakeholders, translating complex backend concepts into clear, shared ideas.
Grow Together: Lift the team around you through empathetic mentorship, open knowledge sharing, and contributing to a welcoming, continuous-learning engineering culture.

You have a solid foundation in backend development, with deep experience in Node.js and framework ecoystems like Nest.js.

My name is Staffan, and I’ll be your new manager. I’ve been at Hemnet since 2019 and since last year working as Engineering Manager for a domain called Consumers. Our teams are currently working on many new and important areas for Hemnet – including personalization and smarter search features (including several initiatives utilizing AI to deliver next level user experience).
My leadership style is listening, transparent, accessible, and supportive, while also challenging you to take your next step. Hopefully, we’ll learn a lot from each other and have plenty of fun as we break new ground at Hemnet.
