Head of Product Development & Production
Composition is building a portfolio of specialist brands within fashion, sport and lifestyle. We operate three separate companies, three separate brands with a shared platform across production, purchasing, design, e-commerce and brand building. We are now looking for a Head of Product Development & Production to join us at an early stage and take responsibility for product development and production across the group. This is a key role for someone who wants to work close to product, business and suppliers in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.
About the Role
You will lead and coordinate product development and production across three brands. One brand is already operating, while two new brands are launching this autumn.
Working closely with founders, designers and creative leads, you will help turn ideas and collection concepts into commercial, well-executed and profitable products. You will be the link between design, suppliers and production, ensuring quality, timelines, margins and execution from concept to final delivery.
Responsibilities
- Drive product development and production across the group’s brands
- Coordinate collection development with designers and creative leads
- Manage the process from concept and materials to sampling, ordering and production
- Build and maintain relationships with factories and suppliers
- Secure timelines, pricing, quality, margins and delivery plans
- Evaluate product, fit, materials and commercial potential
- Identify risks and ensure products meet both customer and business requirements
- Help establish processes and routines for a growing organisation
Who We’re Looking For
You have at least five years of experience within product development, production or purchasing in fashion, activewear, swimwear, lifestyle or related categories. You understand the product development process, take ownership and know how to move projects forward together with designers, suppliers and internal teams.
