Biu!Tea is looking for a part-time Baking Staff / Café Assistant to join our team at our café in central Malmö.
About Biu!Tea
Biu!Tea is a growing bubble tea and dessert café offering handmade drinks, cakes, and light Asian-inspired food. We focus on fresh ingredients, balanced flavours, and carefully prepared products. Since opening our Malmö flagship store, we have continued to develop our dessert and bakery selection, including our signature cakes and lighter handmade treats.
We are now looking for a reliable and experienced part-time baking team member who can support our current baker and help ensure stable daily production.
About the role
As part of our baking team, you will help prepare cakes, desserts, and other bakery items according to our recipes and standards. We will teach you our baking methods, recipes, and daily routines. If you also have your own mature baking techniques, dessert ideas, or experience with other products, this would be a strong advantage.
The role may also include some café assistant tasks when needed, such as basic preparation, cleaning, stock handling, and supporting the front-of-house team during busy periods.
Your responsibilities
- Prepare and decorate cakes, desserts, and other bakery items according to our recipes
- Follow Biu!Tea’s product standards, presentation style, and hygiene routines
- Support daily bakery production and make sure products are fresh and consistent
- Handle ingredients, stock, and storage in an organised way
- Help reduce waste and maintain a clean working environment
- Work together with the café team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Contribute ideas for new desserts or bakery products when possible
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who:
- Has at least 2 years of baking or pastry experience
- Can communicate in English
- Is careful, responsible, and quality-focused
- Is willing to learn our recipes and working methods
- Can work independently after training
- Is flexible and able to support the team when needed
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys working in a small team
- Experience with cakes, sponge cakes, cream cakes, Asian-style desserts, or lighter bakery products is a plus
Swedish language skills are welcome but not required.
Working hours
- Part-time position
- 3–4 shifts per week
- 4–6 hours per shift
- Mainly daytime shifts, with some flexibility depending on production needs
- Start date: As soon as possible or by agreement
