Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to be part of the Osttra journey! The Systems Engineer will join a global team of highly skilled engineers within the IT Hosting department within OSTTRA. The position is broad, heavily technical and you’ll be involved in the platforms and solutions where your skillset is best used. While primary ownership will be around our management of Windows and Mac clients, you will also be a part of the Infrastructure management: installing, upgrading, and maintaining Virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere/VxRail), SAN storage (Isilon), and RDS environments.
With this role comes the responsibility of the configuration, patching, scripting and packaging of applications in Intune and overseeing semi-automated patching via Tanium to ensure both servers and clients remain compliant and secure. You will also be a key driver of Business Continuity, managing capacity planning, and participating in an on-call rotation for operating systems. Furthermore, you will ensure security configurations and knowledge bases are up to date and usable for the Support Engineers, act as a 3rd line support, and keep track of release notes and roadmaps. You will work alongside other platform owners who are also technically broad, giving you the chance to collaborate and learn from others with diverse skill sets.
