Our research group studies immune markers in the human genital mucosa and how these influence susceptibility to sexually transmitted infections. We use advanced molecular biology and bioinformatics techniques and integrate these data with results from image analysis of tissue biopsies.
Your tasks will include experimental handling of human mucosal samples, including immunostaining, scanning, and quantitative evaluation. You will also perform data processing of these results, focusing on quantifying phenotypic cell markers complemented by structural markers. Part of the position will take place within the healthcare setting, with coordination responsibilities for recruiting study participants, sample collection, and gathering clinical and anamnesis data.
We are looking for a candidate with the following required qualifications:

Experience in recruiting study participants, assisting healthcare personnel during sample collection, and documenting clinical information from study questionnaires

Knowledge and practical experience in analyzing systems biology data in R and translating these data into tables and figures for scientific publication

Knowledge and practical experience in immunostaining tissue biopsies, scanning, image analysis, and data processing
