As part of Handelsbanken’s recruitment process, the final candidate is required to undergo and successfully pass a background check conducted by an external provider before employment can be offered.
Handelsbanken is part of the civil defence service—a component of Sweden’s total defence—and as a bank we perform a critical societal function together with the rest of the financial sector. The role may therefore entail a wartime posting within Handelsbanken.
