The research group is led by Professor Johan Jakobsson and includes 14 more coworkers. The group is international and contains researchers, administration and technicians. We are now looking for a new project assistant within a project focusing on bioinformatic analysis of single cell RNA data from post mortem tissue form patients with Parkinson’s Disease. The project you will be part of is focusing on using advanced bioinformatic methods for analyzing available large-scale single cell RNA sequencing data from the Y-chromosome from patients with Parkinson’s disease to identify sex specific changes in gene regulation. Your will be conducting different types of bioinformatic analysis.

Master degree or similar within a relevant research area such as neurobiology or bioinformatics.

Documented experience of bioinformatic work

Documented good knowledge within bioinformatic analysis

Good knowledge of the English language both verbally and written

Experience with single-cell RNA-seq analysis

Experience of working in a team environment

Good ability to work in co-operational projects both within the group and with other research teams and other research fields

This is a full-time employment for maximum 12 months. Starting date in September 1st, 2026, the starting date can be discussed. The employment is in Sweden, and you are expected to be preforming your work on site in Lund.
