You are a confident, experienced health services worker who brings strong clinical knowledge, sound judgement, and a calm, capable presence in the field. You're passionate about delivering high-quality health checks, but just as importantly, you enjoy guiding others, sharing your knowledge, and helping team members build confidence and capability on site. You thrive in fast-paced, people-facing environments where no two days are the same, and you're comfortable leading by example while maintaining high standards of care, safety, and professionalism. You're also flexible and genuinely open to travelling regularly, including interstate, to support staff, deliver training, and help ensure the program runs smoothly wherever it operates.
As Heart Health Check Team Lead, you will play a key role in delivering the Institute's mobile Heart Health Check program across Sydney and interstate locations. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines health screening delivery with onsite team support, training, mentoring, and operational oversight. Acting as the senior representative on the ground, you will help ensure every event runs safely, smoothly and professionally, while maintaining strong clinical and participant experience standards. Working closely with the Manager, Heart Health Check, you will support continuous improvement across the program and help build capability within the team as the service continues to grow.
- Leading the onsite delivery of Heart Health Check events across Sydney and interstate locations
- Delivering high-quality health checks, including blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol testing
- Training, mentoring and supporting team members in the field to build confidence, capability and consistency
- Providing clear direction onsite and helping coordinate workflows to support a positive participant experience
- Ensuring clinical protocols, quality controls, privacy requirements and safety standards are always followed
- Troubleshooting basic equipment or process issues and ensuring testing stations are set up and operating effectively
- Representing the Institute professionally with clients, venues, partner organisations and participants
- Supporting travel, logistics, stock management and transport of equipment, including driving the Institute vehicle when required
- Demonstrated experience delivering health screening or other health-related services
- Strong health knowledge and are confident discussing heart health and lifestyle risk factors with participants
- Experience leading, guiding or mentoring staff and are comfortable providing support and direction onsite
- You enjoy training others and helping teams work safely, confidently and consistently in the field
- Highly organised, dependable and able to work autonomously in dynamic environments
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- You are flexible and willing to travel interstate regularly, including overnight stays, to support staff and program delivery
- You hold a current unrestricted NSW driver's licence and are comfortable working varied hours, including occasional weekends
