We’re looking for a Principal who can help develop extraordinary written communications for our global pharma clients, from value propositions and global value documents to HTA submissions and local market access deliverables. Things you might be working on day-to-day include:
Where we excel is in blending brilliant writing with our knowledge of market access. If this sounds like you, or something you’d like to do in the future, then this role could be for you. We’re essentially looking for someone who’s comfortable with highly scientific writing, can tell a great story and has good interpersonal skills.
You’ll typically split your time as: content development (20%), reviewing and mentoring (50%), project management (10%), personal development (10%), admin (10%). Key responsibilities include:
Ultimate accountability as the Project Strategic Lead for successful project delivery, including strategic oversight, hitting deadlines, deliverable quality, client satisfaction and delivering within the proposed budget.
Providing strategic support and guidance for the Scientific Services team when reviewing deliverables, and ensuring that deliverables address the strategic challenges and client KPIs required and meet the redthread quality standards
Lead client calls and facilitate strategy meetings and workshops to ensure everyone has a clear understanding of project objectives and desired outcomes
When required, development of clear, accurate, grammatically correct, technical and creative medical/scientific text for a variety of audiences that aligns with redthread/client house style
Line management of Consultants and Senior Consultants, acting as a mentor and guide and supporting their development
Support the Scientific Services Director to identify, plan and deliver training to the team, through dedicated training sessions as well as ‘on-the-job’ training
Contribute to recruitment across all Scientific Services roles, including attending recruitment events, reviewing CVs and writing tests, and conducting interviews
You’ll be involved in a range of activities across the business, from leading day-to-day project activities, through writing blog posts, critiquing a global market access strategy, and acting as a mentor and guide to the Scientific Services team.
Existing knowledge of market access and value communications is essential, and we’d prefer you to have a background in life-sciences. However, attitude and aptitude are more important to us than experience and qualifications.
As with all of our roles, you’ll receive lots of hands-on mentoring, and will have the opportunity to take relevant training courses. There’s also plenty of room for progression and promotion, if you’re proactive, work well in a team, and are keen to learn.
We are a full-remote UK company without an office so you will be based at home. We appreciate however that while working from home has its perks, it can also be lonely, which is why we offer co-working space options and lots of opportunities to connect with the rest of the team.
Our roles are all ideally full time. However, we measure commitment by how committed you are, not by the hours you work and as such we don't set working hours - when you work can be flexible, to suit your lifestyle and situation (within reason).
Please note all applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
£80-90k, depending on your experience. Our benefits include at least 25 days’ holiday (increasing each year) plus your birthday off, discretionary profit share bonus, flexible working hours, funding for external training, Vitality private medical insurance, and industry-leading family friendly policies, including 8 weeks at full pay for the birth or adoption of a child, irrespective of gender (yours, not the baby’s!).
