Polestar is accelerating the transition to sustainable mobility through electric performance. As we continue to grow globally, product quality remains at the core of our promise to customers.
We are now looking for a Product Quality Investigator to join our Global Quality organization at our headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that Polestar products meet the highest quality standards by identifying potential quality risks early and driving fast, effective solutions across the organization.
This role is fully focused on the quality of Polestar products. As Product Quality Investigator, you will ensure that Polestar has the right focus to immediately identify any potential quality defect by listening to our customers and monitoring all possible sources of information.
You will act as a central driver between Quality, R&D, and other stakeholders to identify, emphasize, and address solutions from development teams. You will also monitor released solutions to verify effectiveness and ensure long‑term quality improvements.
The role requires strong ownership, technical and/or project leadership, and the ability to naturally build networks across a complex, global organization.
The position is based at Polestar HQ in Gothenburg.
You will drive product quality investigations end‑to‑end, from early detection to verified resolution, ensuring strong ownership, fast decision‑making, and effective cross‑functional collaboration across the organization.
Your responsibilities include:
Identifying any potential quality defects by using all available sources of information, including customer feedback, internal data, and field insights
Securing the right attention across the organization to enable fast and effective solutions
Ensuring both short‑term and long‑term solutions are implemented to improve customer satisfaction
Ensuring actions are defined, executed, and followed up to deliver agreed targets
Developing efficient and structured ways of working within your area of responsibility
Reporting status to Polestar management, proactively identifying risks, and enabling clear action plans to secure deliveries
In your daily work, you will collaborate closely with validation leaders, attribute leaders and managers, program managers, and engineering functions to drive investigations forward, align priorities, and secure root‑cause resolution. You will act as a natural networker, connecting stakeholders across Quality, R&D, and management, and working with suppliers and external partners where applicable to ensure robust and verified solutions.
You are an experienced professional with strong ownership and leadership capabilities, comfortable operating in complex environments and driving topics forward through influence rather than authority. You build trust easily, connect people across functions, and translate data and insights into clear actions.
To be a great fit for this position, we believe you have:
M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering or other relevant education
5+ years of technical and/or project leadership experience with strong ownership
Relevant experience from Quality or R&D within the automotive industry
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Fluency in English; Chinese is meritorious
Experience in data analysis and reporting using Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and JIRA
