Join us in building a world-class creative platform used by millions of people.
SCRL is a creative design platform used to make social media posts with complex layouts and advanced elements. We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help us build our web-based editor and the backend systems that power our entire ecosystem across iOS, Android, and Web.
This isn’t a typical full stack role building dashboards. On the frontend, you’ll work on a sophisticated web editor that handles complex layouts, real-time interactions, and high-resolution assets. On the backend, you’ll build the scalable infrastructure required to support millions of users and ensure seamless data synchronization across all platforms.
You will have a seat at the table for architectural decisions, helping us bridge the gap between a powerful browser-based creative tool and a robust, high-traffic backend.
Web Editor: Build and evolve our React-based editor, focusing on performance, complex state management, and fluid user interactions.
Scalable Backend: Design and maintain the APIs and services that power SCRL, ensuring they stay fast and reliable as our user base grows.
Performance: Optimize web rendering and backend data flows to handle heavy visual assets and complex project files.
System Design: Build the logic for real-time synchronization, asset management, and cross-platform consistency.
Collaboration: Work closely with product engineers and designers to translate creative features into technical reality.
Full Stack Proficiency: Strong experience with modern web frameworks (like React and TypeScript) and backend environments (like Node.js or similar).
Systems Thinking: You understand how to design APIs that are easy to consume and backend systems that scale gracefully.
Problem Solver: You enjoy tackling the edge cases that come with building a complex editor in the browser.
Clear Communicator: You can explain technical trade-offs and collaborate effectively with a small, fast-moving team.
Quality Mindset: You write clean, testable code and care about the long-term maintainability of the systems you build.
Experience building web-based editors, design tools, or canvas-heavy applications.
Familiarity with WebGL, Canvas API, or performance profiling in the browser.
Background in managing high-traffic cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
Interest in creative software or photo editing.
Challenging problems that go far beyond simple CRUD applications.
A small, focused team that values technical excellence and direct impact.
Real ownership of a product used by millions of creators worldwide.
Great colleagues and an office in central Stockholm.
Competitive compensation and growth opportunities.
