At the Department of Informatics and Media, we teach and research in information systems, human-computer interaction and media and communication science. Duties
The work involves administration in relation to courses within systems science bachelor's and master's programmes, but also to assist in teaching moments such as labs and lessons. The work also includes grading and supervision.
Requirements
For employment as a teaching assistant, it is a requirement that you are admitted as a student at undergraduate or advanced level. A bachelor's degree with 90 credits in information systems, computer- and systems science or equivalent. You are expected to have good language skills in English, both in speech and writing.
The work places great demands on collaborative ability and on being able to independently pursue and complete tasks within given time frames, even during temporary work peaks. Emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, such as the ability to take initiative and solve problems in a constructive way for the organization.
Additional qualifications
It is meritorious if you have completed courses or experience in pedagogy as well as if you have good language skills in Swedish, both in speech and writing. We also see it as meritorious if you are currently studying the first year of the Master's program in Systems Science at Uppsala University and if you have programming experience in Python and are able to work remotely during the summer of 2027.
About the employment
The employment is a temporary position according to the Higher Education Ordinance chapter 5 § 12. Scope of employment 10-50%. Starting date 24 august 2026 or as agreed. Placement: Uppsala
You will be employed for each individual assignment and receive hourly financial compensation. The employment will run during the autumn semester of 2026 and the spring semester of 2027.
