Role Overview
As a Payroll Specialist at Benifex, you will be responsible for delivering accurate, compliant, and timely Swedish payroll, which is managed in‑house and is critical to employee trust and business continuity. Reporting to the finance director, you will work closely with HR, Finance, and external partners to ensure all payroll processes meet legal and regulatory requirements.
This role sits within a Stockholm‑based payroll team and plays a key part in supporting employees across Sweden and the wider European organisation. You will operate in a fast‑paced environment with strict monthly deadlines, handling sensitive data with the highest level of integrity.
Responsibilities
Together with your team, run Swedish payroll end‑to‑end, including data collection, calculations, and monthly payroll processing
Ensure correct handling of taxes, social security contributions, deductions, and statutory reporting
Manage variable compensation elements as part of the payroll process
Act as a point of contact for payroll‑related questions from employees
Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, pension providers, insurance partners, and unions
Liaise with external payroll providers supporting other European countries
What are we looking for?
2+ years of experience working with payroll administration
Proven experience running Swedish payroll end‑to‑end
Hands‑on experience with Agda or a similar payroll system
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with payroll data
Fluency in English and Swedish
A structured, detail‑oriented approach with high integrity and discretion
Experience working closely with HR teams
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Higher education within payroll from a Swedish institution (vocational education/YH or similar)
