Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our growing PDS team in Gothenburg. This role requires strong project management skills, leadership abilities, and an extensive network in the local real estate market.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Technical Excellence
Lead and deliver the most complex, high-value commercial real estate projects in the Gothenburg market
Oversee multiple large-scale projects simultaneously across office, logistics, hotel, and other sectors
Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to Project Managers on challenging projects
Serve as escalation point for critical project issues and complex problem-solving
Client & Business Development
Drive new business development through proactive client engagement and strategic networking
Leverage extensive relationships with occupiers, investors, and public sector clients to generate opportunities
Lead client pitches, presentations, and proposal development for major projects
Identify and pursue strategic opportunities that expand JLL's market presence in Gothenburg
Serve as trusted senior advisor to C-level executives and key decision-makers
Manage relationships with the most strategic and high-value clients
Provide expert consultation on complex real estate strategies and project delivery approaches
Ensure exceptional client satisfaction and long-term partnership development
Market Leadership & Strategic Positioning
Maintain deep knowledge of the Gothenburg commercial real estate market, trends, and key players
Cultivate and leverage strong network among contractors, consultants, architects, and suppliers
Develop strategic relationships with authorities, municipalities, and regulatory bodies
Represent JLL PDS at industry events, forums, and professional associations
Provide senior-level technical expertise on complex design, construction, and regulatory matters
Guide clients through sophisticated procurement strategies and contractor selection processes
Lead negotiations on major contracts and navigate challenging stakeholder environments
Advise on risk management, value engineering, and optimization strategies for large projects
Establish quality standards and champion best practices across the Gothenburg team
Conduct peer reviews of critical project deliverables and strategic recommendations
Share knowledge and lessons learned to elevate team capabilities
Ensure projects meet JLL's standards for delivery excellence
Position JLL as the leading PDS consultancy in the Gothenburg market
Contribute insights on market trends, innovations, and emerging opportunities
Build JLL's brand visibility through active participation in industry dialogue
Support recruitment efforts by attracting top talent through market reputation
Collaborate with other JLL service lines to deliver integrated client solutions
Coordinate with regional PDS leadership on strategic initiatives and knowledge sharing
Support business development efforts across JLL's Gothenburg office
Contribute to firm-wide initiatives and strategic projects
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
Certified Byggarbetsmiljösamordnare (BAS-P and BAS-U) for construction site coordination
Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial real estate project management or construction consultancy
Proven track record managing complex, high-value projects for occupiers, landlords, and investors
In-depth knowledge of the Gothenburg commercial real estate market, particularly office and industrial & logistics sectors
Extensive network among landlords, investors, developers, contractors, consultants, and authorities in the region
Comprehensive understanding of PDS services including project management, building consultancy, and development advisory
Strong knowledge of construction contract law (entreprenadjuridik) and lease law (hyresjuridik)
Experience with permit processes and regulatory compliance
Demonstrated success in business development, identifying opportunities and driving revenue growth
Strong client relationship management and negotiation skills
Experience presenting to and influencing C-level executives
Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
Informal leadership skills with experience mentoring project teams
Ability to collaborate across JLL service lines to deliver integrated solutions
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Project, CAD, and presentation software
