The research group Obstetric and Reproductive Health Research has the overarching goal of improving the health of women, mothers and children through research. Our work spans youth health, reproduction, diagnosis and treatment of pregnancy- and postpartum-related conditions, menopause, and women’s mental health.
The research group Physiotherapy and Behavioural Medicine conducts clinical and applied research on physical activity, movement, rehabilitation, and behavioural medicine interventions, with the aim of promoting health and well-being in different populations, including women during and after pregnancy and young adults.

Would you like to contribute to promoting mental health among childbearing women and young people?
Within the research groups, extensive research is conducted on mental health in the perinatal period and among young adults through large population-based studies such as Mom2B (mom2b.se) and UPIC (uu.se/forskning/upic) as well as register-based projects. Our staff have access to unique data sources and established research environments at a high international level. We are now seeking a Research Assistant who can strengthen our work in data analysis of digital phenotyping.
The work involves analysis of digital phenotyping and questionnaire data to study mental and physical health during young adulthood and the perinatal period. Core duties include:

Organising and analysing large-scale mobile sensor data, such as GPS, accelerometer and screen-log data, and linking these to questionnaire data and register data.

Processing and analysing these datasets.

Developing and validating predictive machine-learning models for mental and physical health.

Interpreting and presenting analysis results to the research group.

Actively contributing to writing and revising scientific manuscripts.

Coordinating the data-analysis work within the research group.

Assisting the research group leader with the organisation of meetings.
We are looking for a candidate with a Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as bioinformatics, neuroinformatics or biomedical artificial intelligence. You must have documented experience of working with UPPMAX/BIANCA infrastructures, developing and evaluating machine-learning models and very good knowledge of Python and R. Documented experience of working with passive digital health data and mobile sensor data is required.
You must be able to work independently, manage complex analysis processes and communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary research environment. Good scientific writing skills are essential. Personal qualities such as flexibility, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, stress tolerance and the ability to prioritise between several parallel tasks are important. You should also be interested in supporting and further developing the group’s work.
Very good command of English, both spoken and written, is required.
