The Department of Global Public Health is a multidisciplinary department with the aim to advance knowledge about challenges and opportunities for public health in a local, national, and global setting. Many researchers at the department are scientific advisors to authorities and other decision makers at regional, national, and international levels. The department is responsible for three international master’s programs and the researchers are actively involved in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The department has 12 research groups, around 120 PhD students and about 140 employees.
This position contributes to strengthening a sustainable line of research on how low-value practices can be deimplemented in health care. As increasing numbers of health care organizations seek evidence-based approaches and thus aim to decrease the number of low-value practices, this projects position PROCOME as a key partner in this development.
We seek a research assistant (RA) for 3 months, 20% of full-time, to support ongoing research focused on de-implementation of low-value practices. The role will contribute to a scoping review of literature over low value health care practices.

Assist in an update of a literature search

Review abstracts found in the search

Review full text articles

Extract data from the articles

Attendance at regular consensus meetings

Support other review related tasks
The role is suitable for a student or someone early in their career who is interested in health care and particularly in low value practices.
The position requires:

You have an ongoing or recently terminated the study program in medicine.

Documented experience in performing the following steps in a scoping review: abstract review, full text review, extraction of data.

Knowledge in the field of low value care and de-implementation.

Fluent knowledge in spoken and written Swedish as well as very good knowledge in spoken and written english.
