Position Overview
The Platform Sourcing Leader (PSL) drives end-to-end sourcing activities within assigned platforms, playing a key role in cross-functional product development teams. Acting as the link between strategic sourcing and product development, the PSL ensures that targets related to cost, quality, delivery, risk, and sustainability are achieved throughout the product lifecycle. The role combines early supplier engagement to enable innovation in new product development with ongoing commercial ownership and optimization post-launch. Working closely with Commodity and Sourcing Managers, the PSL leads sourcing execution, represents commercial and supply considerations in development decisions, and ensures alignment with Group Sourcing strategies and governance.
This is a hybrid role, based either in Stockholm (Solna) or Sundsvall (Birsta).
Key Responsibilities

Own and drive all sourcing activities from project initiation to production readiness, including supplier selection, RFQs, negotiations, contracting, onboarding, and approval of supplier nominations,

Act as a core member of cross-functional teams, contributing to agile ways of working and representing sourcing in decisions on cost, risk, and supply readiness,

Maintain commercial responsibility for sourced components and suppliers up to six months post-launch, managing performance, negotiations, issue resolution, and handover to Commodity Managers,

Define and execute platform sourcing strategies, including supplier landscape, cost models, and risk, while setting KPIs and ensuring clear performance tracking,

Ensure compliance with Group Sourcing and Supplier Quality frameworks, including legal, ethical, and sustainability standards, and secure required approvals,

Provide regular, transparent reporting on KPIs, project status, and risks, driving alignment and escalation where needed.
Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, business or economics and/or; equivaltent work experience from strategic sourcing, supply chain or similar positions,

Professional education through accrediting organizations and/or equivalent work experience in / as:
- Certified purchaser
- Legal awareness
- Business negotiation
- Supplier evaluation/auditing and supplier development
- Lean production
- Supply chain management and logistics
- Quality systems and control
- Supplier relationship management
- Risk management
- Category management
