We are seeking an ambitious and skilled postdoctoral researcher to join the Centre for Pharmacoepidemiology (CPE) at the Department of Medicine Solna. CPE, established in 2006, is a dynamic research environment at the intersection of academia, healthcare, regulatory authorities, and the pharmaceutical industry. CPE is one of the largest academic pharmacoepidemiology centers in Europe, with active Nordic, European, and international collaborations. We are about 35 employees and affiliated researchers, including epidemiologists, clinicians, statisticians, project managers, postdocs, and doctoral students. The postdoctoral researcher will work with pharmacoepidemiologic studies within the field of pediatric and perinatal pharmacoepidemiology using nationwide register data, investigating effects of medical drugs. You are expected to take a leading role in the entire research process, including development the study design, protocol, project management, preparation and analysis of large-scale datasets, manuscript writing, and dissemination of research findings, under supervision and in collaboration with members of the project team. The position provides close collaboration with experienced pharmacoepidemiologists, biostatisticians, and clinicians. You are expected to take an active role in research-related activities (e.g., weekly meetings, seminars) at CPE and the Division of Clinical Epidemiology.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

A PhD in epidemiology, with a focus on perinatal and/or pediatric pharmacoepidemiology.

Experience, as main contributor, with large-scale database studies investigating medication use and safety in the perinatal and/or pediatric field.

Strong skills in management and statistical analysis of large datasets

Documented experience with advanced pharmacoepidemiologic and causal inference methods

Experience as first author and as contributing author of original research publications in top-ranked journals

Experience with pharmacoepidemiologic studies using Swedish national register data

Experience from multinational collaboration

Excellent organization skills and attention to detail

Advanced proficiency in relevant statistical software

Strong oral and written communication skills in English

The position is located within the Department of Medicine, Solna. The department consists of ten divisions, and each division consists of several research groups. The position is located within the research group Pasternak/Centre for pharmacoepidemiology.
