As our new Director Air & Sea Sweden, you will hold full responsibility for our Air & Sea, Parcel/Express and Pharma business across Sweden. You will lead the organisation with a clear focus on profitability, operational excellence, customer satisfaction and long term growth.
This is a role with significant influence and accountability. You will translate strategy into execution, drive financial performance, develop organisational capability and ensure alignment across commercial, operational and global stakeholders.
As part of the Swedish management team, you will play a key role in shaping the direction of the business while ensuring consistent execution across the organisation.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own the business: Take full responsibility for the performance of the Air & Sea, Parcel/Express and Pharma divisions across Sweden.
- Lead with accountability: Drive the business with full P&L ownership while ensuring profitability, productivity and growth.
- Manage performance: Own budgets, forecasts and financial reporting, while monitoring KPIs and ensuring delivery against targets.
- Drive results: Identify opportunities, address gaps and implement corrective actions where needed.
Driving operational excellence:
- Ensure execution: Deliver consistent, high quality service and customer experience across all operations.
- Lead operations: Take ownership of performance and service delivery across the division.
- Improve continuously: Drive operational improvements across workflows, structures and ways of working.
- Ensure compliance: Maintain adherence to LEMAN standards as well as legal, regulatory and quality requirements.
- Handle complexity: Act as senior escalation point for critical operational challenges.
Leading your organisation:
- Build leadership: Lead, coach and develop a team of managers and specialists.
- Create clarity: Establish clear expectations, ownership and performance standards.
- Drive culture: Foster a high performance environment with strong commercial and operational focus.
- Develop talent: Support succession planning, capability building and recruitment of key roles.
- Ensure alignment: Anchor leadership and behaviour in LEMAN values and organisational objectives.
Working across the business:
- Partner with Sales: Support growth opportunities and develop strong customer solutions.
- Collaborate globally: Work closely with Nordic and global Product, Procurement, Operations and Commercial teams.
- Contribute broadly: Take an active role in cross functional and cross country initiatives.
- Support leadership: Actively contribute to the Swedish management team and overall business development.
What we’re looking for:
- You bring significant leadership experience from freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain management, combined with a strong commercial and operational mindset.
- You have successfully led teams, managed business performance and delivered results in complex environments where execution, customer focus and profitability are equally important.
- You understand how to balance strategic leadership with operational involvement and are comfortable taking ownership of both performance and people.
- You are a confident and credible leader who creates clarity, drives accountability and delivers results.
- You combine commercial understanding with operational insight and engage naturally with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- You are structured, resilient and execution focused, able to lead through change while maintaining a strong focus on performance and long term development.
- Most importantly, you take ownership. You create alignment, drive execution and ensure that strategy is translated into sustainable business results.
