About the research group and the WHOLE Centre
The Obstetric and Reproductive Health Research group has the overall aim of improving the health of women, mothers and children through research. Our research includes adolescent health, reproduction, diagnostics and treatment of pregnancy- and postpartum-related conditions, menopause, and women’s mental health. The group conducts large population-based studies and register-based studies, including the BASIC, Mom2B and MERIT projects. The work is based on cohort studies, register-based research and interdisciplinary collaborations focusing on maternal mental health and pregnancy outcomes. The research environment is international, collaborative and research-intensive. WHOLE unites 17 disciplines from medicine, engineering, social sciences and the humanities, and integrates biological, psychological, social and cultural perspectives across the female life course. Through innovative methods, including longitudinal studies, laboratory-based and AI-based analyses, and patient-centred research, new knowledge, diagnostic innovations, and more equitable models of care are developed in close collaboration with patients, healthcare professionals and decision-makers.
As an integrated member of this interdisciplinary environment, you will contribute to research of high scientific and societal relevance in an inspiring and supportive workplace.
