What will you bring as an Independent Chef I?
- Your responsibilities include preparatory work such as washing vegetables, cutting and filleting fish, and cutting lamb and beef for various dishes, while working in a kitchen team of approximately four colleagues under the supervision of the head chef.
- Preparing and cooking dishes while carrying out interim quality and hygiene checks.
- Finalizing and inspecting dishes before service so that front-of-house staff can place them in the warming stations.
- Planning daily activities, ordering food products and other inventory supplies from regular suppliers, and checking delivered goods.
- Supervising kitchen assistants and providing guidance and instructions.
- Cleaning your workstation, kitchen equipment, and machinery daily before closing, and assisting kitchen helpers with the overall cleaning of the kitchen and the storage of delivered goods.
- Being a strong team player with a flexible attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Contributing to quality improvement, menu optimization and updates, as well as developing recipes and preparation instructions.
- Preferred qualifications include an MBO Level 3 diploma or equivalent education with knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
What do we offer?
- A gross monthly salary between €2,600 and €3,100 based on a 38-hour work week, in accordance with the Dutch Hospitality Collective Labour Agreement (CAO), including 25 vacation days and 8% holiday allowance.
