Haven Connect is recruiting a Community & Stakeholder Engagement Manager (Community Liaison Officer) on behalf of a leading international organisation delivering large-scale data centre and infrastructure projects across Europe.
This is an exciting opportunity for a relationship-focused professional to play a key role in connecting project teams with local communities, educational institutions, municipal authorities, and other important stakeholders.
The successful candidate will help foster positive community engagement, support local talent initiatives, facilitate stakeholder communications, and contribute to the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects in the Skellefteå region.
About the Role
As Community & Stakeholder Engagement Manager, you will act as a trusted link between project stakeholders and the local community.
You will be responsible for building strong relationships, supporting public engagement initiatives, communicating project information clearly, gathering feedback, and helping address community concerns in a professional and constructive manner.
This role would suit candidates with experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement, communications, public affairs, government relations, social impact, ESG, corporate affairs, or similar stakeholder-facing positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain positive relationships with local stakeholders, community groups, universities, municipal authorities, embassies, and industry partners.
- Attend and participate in stakeholder meetings, engagement events, and public consultations.
- Support community engagement initiatives and local recruitment activities.
- Promote graduate, apprenticeship, and local talent opportunities connected to project activities.
- Act as a key point of contact between project teams and the local community.
- Gather, monitor, and communicate stakeholder feedback to internal teams.
- Assist in resolving community concerns through effective communication and stakeholder management.
- Prepare clear and accessible communications for a wide range of audiences.
- Support public relations and stakeholder engagement campaigns as required.
- Help maintain positive relationships between the organisation and the wider community.
Requirements
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, community relations, public affairs, communications, government relations, ESG, social impact, or a similar role.
- Fluent Swedish and English (written and spoken).
- Finnish language skills would be highly advantageous.
- Degree in Communications, Public Policy, Social Sciences, International Relations, Business, or a related discipline.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience engaging with local authorities, educational institutions, community groups, or public sector organisations would be advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Experience working in multicultural or international environments is desirable.
- Full right to live and work in Sweden without sponsorship.
