The Sahin lab at Stockholm University studies protein dynamics and conformational landscape related to intrinsically disordered proteins. We use a combination of biophysics, molecular biology and biochemistry to study the protein’s self-assembly and folding patterns and how these respond to environmental changes.
Main responsibilities include hands-on laboratory work; recombinant protein production, microscopy, biophysical characterization. Analysis of experimental data, including cryo-EM analysis is to be expected. The candidate will have the possibility to develop their own project.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a new research group. The candidate will work in a vibrant and highly collaborative environment at the department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at Stockholm University.
We are looking for a candidate with experience in recombinant expression and purification of disordered proteins, and characterization of these using biophysical and structural methods, including circular dichroism and cryo-EM. Experience with structure prediction will be an advantage.
