We are now looking for a Combat System to Ship Manager (CSS M) to join our Naval Combat Systems organization and play a critical role in delivering world-class capabilities through the 9LV Combat System.
As Combat System to Ship Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the integration of combat systems onto naval platforms, ensuring successful delivery from early design stages through installation, testing, and final acceptance.
You will act as the primary point of contact between the shipyard and the Combat System project, leading integration efforts across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
This is a key position with significant responsibility, where you will influence both technical solutions and project execution.
Your Responsibilities:
-
Lead and manage Combat System to Ship Integration activities across the full project lifecycle
-
Act as the primary interface toward shipyards and, when relevant, end customers
-
Lead and support technical aspects of contract negotiations with shipyards
-
Ensure successful planning and delivery of installation data, procedures, and hardware
-
Lead and coordinate installation, commissioning, and physical integration testing onboard ships
-
Manage and guide a team of Combat System Ship Integration engineers and specialists
-
Drive design trade-offs and technical decisions to optimize system performance
-
Support System Integration Testing (SIT), Harbour Acceptance Tests (HAT), and Sea Acceptance Tests (SAT)
-
Ensure alignment between engineering, project management, suppliers, and shipyard execution
The role is based in Stockholm/Järfälla and includes regular travel, depending on the project phase.

You’ll be part of a collaborative, high-tech environment where innovation, responsibility, and continuous learning are part of everyday work. Together, we deliver solutions that truly matter.
You are a strong communicator, comfortable navigating complex technical environments while building trust with shipyards, customers and internal stakeholders.
You combine hands-on naval understanding with systems-level thinking, and you thrive in roles where both technical depth and coordination are essential. You have experience leading technical teams while managing technical interfaces, stakeholders, and deliveries across complex organizations and supplier networks.
We believe you bring experience in one or more of the following areas:
-
Several years of experience in complex system integration projects, within domains such as naval, offshore (oil & gas platforms), aerospace, defense, energy, or other large-scale industrial or infrastructure systems
-
Experience working with platform-based or product-based environments, covering design, installation, integration, or commissioning phases (e.g. ships, offshore platforms, aircraft, or large industrial systems)
-
Strong understanding of system integration, system-of-systems architectures, and multidisciplinary engineering environments
It is a plus if you also have:
-
Experience in the defense industry
-
Knowledge of electrical systems, cabling, power, or HVAC onboard ships
