Job description
We are looking for a Senior Expert / Fault Tracer to join a cross-functional quality team working on electrical and connectivity systems within automotive industry.
In this role, you will investigate and resolve complex, systematic quality issues. Once an issue is assigned, you will perform in-depth fault tracing, understand the affected system or component, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions such as redesigns or software/hardware updates to ensure robust and customer-focused solutions.
You will support quality assurance activities by contributing expertise in electrical systems, connectivity, diagnostics, testing, and system design. The work spans both new product development and improvements to existing systems across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced fault tracing and root cause analysis of electrical and connectivity issues
Investigate system/component behavior in detail and propose corrective actions
Support quality teams in handling and resolving technical issues
Contribute to system design improvements (electrical architecture, wiring, connectivity, etc.)
Work with both new development projects and existing product updates
Collaborate in cross-functional teams to ensure high product quality
Maintain a holistic view while handling detailed technical investigations
Profile Requirements
7–10 years of experience in the automotive industry
Strong background in low voltage electrical systems
Experience in system design (e.g. electrical architecture) and/or functional testing & verification
Solid understanding of automotive lifecycle (concept, development, production, maintenance)
Hands-on experience in at least one area:
Connectivity systems
Wiring harness / cables
Software
Electrical hardware
Proven experience in fault tracing and quality issue resolution
Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, diagnostics
Familiarity with tools such as Saber, Catia V5, CANoe/CANalyzer, and measurement/logging systems is a strong advantage
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proactive, collaborative team player with a structured and initiative-driven mindset
Ability to work independently on smaller investigations
Nice to Have
Driver’s license D
Experience with OEM-specific tools and systems

Salary range: From 53,333 SEK to 66,667 SEK
The stated salary falls within the established salary range for the position and is determined based on experience, skills, and level of responsibility, in accordance with our policy of fair and non-discriminatory compensation.
