The role
As Accounting Manager you own the Nordics month and quarter end close from end to end and act as the regions anchor point towards our shared services teams, ensuring that the reported balance sheet and profit and loss are accurate, compliant and delivered within corporate deadlines. You own the statutory reporting and audit agenda for the region. You are our regional authority on accounting treatment, and you lead and develop the Nordics accounting team.

- Take responsibility for NDX balance sheet and PL accuracy, including balance sheet reviews and reconciliations
- Run all internal and external audits, and own the internal control environment under SOX
- Own statutory reporting: full responsibility for Sweden, supporting Denmark, Norway and Finland
- Act as our accounting principles expert, assuring correct treatment in new and existing processes
- Ensure a correct inventory valuation
- Own chemical tax and local VAT reporting in partnership with the EMEA VAT expert team, and manage reporting requirements towards tax and other authorities, including any authority audits
- Drive process improvement across the finance organisation, and develop the local accounting team.
What you bring
- Solid accounting and finance experience from an international environment, with a relevant degree
- Experience of leading a team, and of working with a shared services set-up
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, Swedish statutory accounting, local VAT and income tax, and SOX
- SAP experience
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise against close deadlines
- A self-motivated, hands-on approach: you take ownership and drive improvements independently
- Fluent Swedish and English, written and spoken
