As our Engineering Manager, you will take full ownership of scaling high-performing teams while bridging the gap between technical execution and business impact. Leading up to two cross-functional development teams, your mission is to drive organizational design, mentor talent, and optimize our delivery frameworks. In this role, you will champion a modern, high-velocity engineering culture that directly enables our European expansion.
Lead and mentor one or several cross-functional engineering teams, managing performance and supporting career growth for experienced software engineers.
Drive the evolution of our software development lifecycle, integrating AI-driven automation (AI-SDLC) and agentic workflows to accelerate delivery.
Optimize team structures, resource allocation, and engineering maturity models to ensure organizational scalability.
Foster tight cross-functional alignment between Engineering, Product Management, and UX Design to deliver seamless financial systems.
Partner with the CTO, software architects, and senior management to align engineering strategies with Qred's commercial growth.
We are seeking a structured leader who thrives in a scaling fintech environment and knows how to drive alignment across technical domains. You have a proven ability to build scalable frameworks and a strong interest in modern software delivery metrics. You are motivated by giving teams high autonomy while maintaining high standards of technical precision and operational velocity.
Several years of experience leading engineering teams as a Manager or Head of Engineering within a domain-structured organization.
Solid technical background in full-stack environments, with the ability to navigate architectural discussions around Serverless-first and Event-driven systems.
Strong interest and practical experience in leveraging AI tools to optimize engineering workflows.
Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and continuous delivery pipelines.
University degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in our headquarters in Stockholm. We believe our culture thrives when we work together, which is why we have an office-first approach. To balance this with some flexibility, we have the option of working remotely one day per week. We review applications on a rolling basis and while the start date is flexible, the right candidate can join us immediately.
