The Department of Global Public Health is a multidisciplinary department with the aim to advance knowledge about challenges and opportunities for public health in a local, national, and global setting. Many researchers at the department are scientific advisors to authorities and other decision makers at regional, national, and international levels. The department is responsible for three international master’s programs and the researchers are actively involved in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The department has 12 research groups, around 120 PhD students and about 140 employees.
The position is placed at the research group Global and Sexual Health. The employment is a permanent position, starting with 6 months of probationary employment. The expected start date: 1st of September 2026 or upon agreement.
You will support the development of major national and international research grant applications across a range of global public health topics. The position will play a key role in identifying funding opportunities, coordinating proposal development, supporting strategic partnerships and contributing to resource mobilisation efforts within the research group.
In addition, the successful candidate will support the planning and coordination of a high-level international academic conference, including stakeholder engagement, programme development, speaker coordination, registration processes, logistics and communication activities. The position will also contribute to the administration and coordination of educational activities within the group, including support for teaching and programme-related activities within the Master's Programmes in Global Health and Public Health and other courses.
You must have:

A Master's degree in Global Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, or a related field

Excellent skills in English (written and spoken).

Demonstrated experience working in project and research coordination in global sexual and reproductive health and rights as well as demonstrated experience supporting competitive funding applications to Swedish and international funders such as the Swedish Research Council (VR), Forte and EU.

Ability to synthesise large volumes of scientific and policy information and translate findings into actionable evidence.
Meritorious qualifications:

A background in Nursing or Midwifery or another similar health-related discipline.

Experience working with United Nations agencies, bilateral donors, government institutions, academic partners and civil society organisations in low- and middle-income countries.

Ability to develop and review project budgets, budget justifications and resource plans as well as experience conducting funding landscape analyses and donor mapping exercises.

Experience collaborating with various actors including Healthcare professionals, researchers and civil society actors. Familiarity with the Swedish research context as well as experience of working with the online platform Prisma.
