Job Summary
The Software Engineer will design, develop, maintain, and modernise Content Management products supporting digital channels. The role contributes to a managed, outcome-based delivery team with end-to-end accountability for agreed outcomes across content creation, management, distribution, insights, and experience capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Software Engineering & Product Development
Develop and maintain Content Management products across Contentful CMS, Bynder DAM, Content Insights, Ratings & Reviews, UGVC, and AI capabilities.
Design and implement robust APIs, microservices, and backend services using Golang and TypeScript.
Build scalable, secure, maintainable components for headless CMS and DAM pipelines.
Contribute to reliable engineering delivery aligned with agreed tertial roadmap and OKRs.
Content Management Transformation
Support migration towards headless content architecture and central asset storage.
Contribute to decommissioning legacy systems, including Legacy CMS sunset initiatives.
Enable new ways of working for content co-workers by building stable and user-centric platform capabilities.
Cloud, DevOps & Platform Reliability
Develop cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and release practices.
Ensure performance, observability, resilience, and maintainability of services.
Apply modern engineering practices including automated testing, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
Data & AI Enablement
Collaborate with data engineering and data science teams to support content insights and AI-enabled capabilities.
Integrate engineering components that support image classification, Ratings & Reviews summarisation, UGVC pre-moderation, and content trend analysis where applicable.
Contribute to a sustainable data and AI foundation that can be maintained beyond individual resource cycles.
Collaboration & Delivery
Work closely with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, Data leadership and stakeholders as required.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, roadmap planning, and cross-functional delivery discussions.
Communicate clearly in business-level English and contribute to team continuity and domain knowledge retention.
Skill Requirements
Strong hands-on software engineering experience in Golang and TypeScript.
Experience with API development, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native engineering.
Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
Understanding of headless CMS architecture and/or Digital Asset Management pipelines.
Ability to work in a product-oriented, outcome-based delivery model rather than pure staff augmentation.
Business-level English communication skills.
Other Requirements
Experience with large-scale content management ecosystems, omnichannel digital platforms, or marketing technology platforms.
Exposure to content performance insights, analytics pipelines, BigQuery, or data modelling concepts.
Experience integrating AI/ML-enabled capabilities into product platforms.
Familiarity with DAM workflows, media asset processing, ratings and reviews, user-generated visual content, or moderation workflows.
