About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Test Engineer Specialist to join the Safe & Efficient Driving & Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and validating next-generation heavy-duty vehicle technologies, with a focus on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Active Safety, Driver Support, Efficiency, Productivity, and Connected Services.
Working in a collaborative Agile environment, you will partner with developers, system engineers, and cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle—from early concept validation through certification—to ensure high-quality, reliable, and compliant solutions.
In addition to hands-on vehicle testing, you will support test planning, coordinate test activities, and contribute to continuous improvements in testing methodologies and engineering processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Test and validate ADAS, Active Safety, Driver Support, Efficiency, Productivity, and connected service functions.
Prepare test vehicles by performing ECU software updates and configuring vehicle systems.
Install, configure, and maintain vehicle data logging and measurement equipment.
Collect, manage, and analyze vehicle data to support engineering analysis and data-driven development.
Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and fault tracing on vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve technical issues through root cause analysis.
Support certification and regulatory compliance activities, including vehicle safety validation.
Document test procedures, results, observations, and provide clear technical feedback to engineering teams.
Coordinate vehicle availability, test schedules, and test equipment to ensure efficient execution of testing activities.
Drive continuous improvements in testing methods, tools, and ways of working.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field.
Experience in vehicle testing, validation, or automotive product development.
Strong understanding of vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
Experience with vehicle diagnostics, ECU software flashing/updates, and automotive communication protocols such as CAN.
Experience using vehicle data logging and measurement equipment is an advantage.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
