ÖHLINS IS NOW LOOKING FOR A SUPPLIER QUALITY DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (SQDE)
We develop and manufacture advanced suspension systems for the future - helping our customers ride faster, safer, and more comfortably in cars, motorcycles and bicycles. The Quality Department is now looking for a new colleague to succeed in our current team as a Supplier Quality Development Engineering.
This position is located at Öhlins' office in Upplands Väsby, north of Stockholm.
THE ROLE
As a Supplier Quality Development Engineer at Öhlins you will drive improvements in supplier performance, quality, and capability to ensure alignment with company requirements, standards and business objectives. The role involves identifying, evaluating, and auditing suppliers, and lead quality and cost-improvement initiatives. You will develop and implement action plans to secure on-time delivery and high-quality outcomes.
Acting as a partner to internal stakeholders, you will build and maintain strong supplier relationships while proactively identifying and mitigating risks within the supply base.
You will be a part of a team of four (4) experienced supplier development engineers. The Swedish team also interact with SQDE in Japan, Thailand & Taiwan. To achieve our strategic goals, we believe that you will focus on optimizing our processes, improving supplier quality, and driving effective problem-solving to support our own and our customers’ success. The role requires a long-term perspective, initiative, and the ability to make independent decisions by yourself and together with your team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive and enable continuous improvement initiatives.
Follow up supplier performance and quality results.
Supplier audits.
IMDS reporting.
8D reporting and handling.
Approximately 80% mechanics & 20% electronics.
COMPETENCE PROFILE
Audit and supplier quality assurance experience, minimum three (3) years.
Experience of electronic industry
Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English, spoken and written
A strong team-member that motivates, assists and help the team forward.
Excellent cooperation skills.
Experience from the manufacturing- and the electronic industry an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and your ability to independently drive processes forward. You have a structured approach to planning, documentation and following up your work, and you ensure that procedures and standards are followed and continuously developed. You need to be a team-member.
