Reporting to: Senior Postdoctoral Scientist, Cellular Bioenergetics – Turner Lab
You're an early-career scientist who is curious, detail oriented and excited to contribute to meaningful research. You enjoy working in a collaborative lab environment and are confident managing your own experiments while also supporting others.
With a background in biomedical science (Honours or equivalent), you bring hands-on experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, or metabolic research and are motivated to keep learning and building your technical skills. You communicate clearly, think critically about data, and take pride in maintaining high standards in your work.
Most importantly, you're someone who thrives in a team setting and wants to be part of research that has real-world impact.
As a Research Assistant in the Cellular Bioenergetics Laboratory, you will provide high-level scientific and operational support to a collaborative and dynamic research team. Working closely with the Senior Postdoctoral Scientist, you will contribute to projects investigating how cellular energy metabolism changes in cardiometabolic disease and cancer.
This is a hands-on role that combines experimental work with laboratory management and team support. You will design and conduct experiments, support students and researchers, and help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the laboratory. This is a great opportunity to build your scientific skillset while contributing to impactful research.
