If you enjoy solving practical problems, working close to both software and hardware, and seeing what you build used every day in production, this could be your next step. We’re looking for a Software Engineer within End-of-Line Test Automation.
CPAC Systems develops advanced control systems for marine and industrial applications. Since 1999, we’ve been turning complex operations into intuitive experiences. With 250 employees, a portfolio of 50 patents and more than 500,000 delivered products per year, we drive innovation in everything from electrification to intelligent automation, always working at the intersection of safety, efficiency and user experience. As part of Volvo Group, our role is to lead advanced technology development and explore the next generation of smart control systems.
As a Software Engineer, you will develop and improve the automated test systems that ensure our products perform reliably before leaving production.
You will work hands-on with end-of-line test automation, developing robust and efficient test flows in C# while maintaining and improving our existing test rigs. Your work will bring you close to both software and hardware, from writing test logic and integrating measurement instruments to troubleshooting equipment and optimizing test performance.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues across production, hardware engineering and quality, giving you the opportunity to see the complete picture from product and test requirements to a solution running in series production.
This is a role for someone who enjoys understanding not only the code, but also what happens when that code interacts with real electronics, instruments and products.
Develop test automation in C# and create robust and efficient test flows for series production
Maintain and improve existing end-of-line test rigs, including troubleshooting and performance optimization
Develop new test solutions and test logic for current and future products
Integrate and communicate with measurement equipment and test instruments such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, CAN/LIN interfaces and power supplies
Collaborate closely with production teams, hardware engineers and quality specialists
Identify opportunities to improve test efficiency, reliability and maintainability
Document solutions to ensure that test systems remain clear, maintainable and easy to develop over time
You are at the beginning of your career, with a technical university background in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar field
You have programming experience in C#
You have a strong technical interest and curiosity about how software and hardware work together
You are fluent in both Swedish and English
It's a plus if you also have experience with:
Electronics, test automation or production environments
CAN/LIN communication
Measurement instruments and test equipment
Traceability or production testing
You enjoy solving problems where software meets the physical world and are curious about what is happening beyond the code. You like getting hands-on, digging into technical challenges and following a problem all the way to a working solution.
You take initiative, take on responsibility and take pride in building solutions that others can rely on every day. At the same time, you value collaboration and enjoy being where things happen, working closely with colleagues across different technical disciplines at the office. With us, that means spending most of the week together on-site, typically four days a week.
If you have any questions about the role, feel free to contact Victoria Sahlberg, Talent Partner, at [email protected].
As part of our recruitment process, we conduct background checks as well as drug and alcohol testing.
